Audrey Mae (Campbell) Watkins

Audrey Mae (Campbell) Watkins, age 75, of Tioga, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Guthrie Corning Hospital. She married Eddie R. Watkins on January 6, 1968, sharing 55 years of marriage together, prior to his passing in 2017. Born February 19, 1948, in Elmira, NY, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Nedra (Hickok) Campbell.

Audrey did some bookkeeping for NAPA and some close family members, but she primarily focused on taking care of her family at home. She truly valued and cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Audrey’s next greatest passion was researching genealogy for pretty much anyone who would allow her to do so. She thoroughly enjoyed digging through family trees and histories to help neighbors, friends, and family discover their relatives. She also enjoyed family gatherings, craft projects, and trips up to camp with family and friends. Audrey’s diligent and kind-hearted nature will be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Katina (Jeff) Truesdale, of Navarre, FL, and Lisa McCall, of Tioga, PA; adopted son and daughter-in-law, Eldon and Tammy Smith, of Tioga, PA; adopted daughter, Julie Wicks, of Missouri; grandchildren, Evan McCall, Megan (Jared) Andreason, Christina (Nick) Werner, Michael (Emily) McCall, Marc McCall, Mackenzie Truesdale, Payton Truesdale and Morgan Truesdale; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Hudson, Emersyn, Bryson, Easton and Asher; sister, Daphna Watkins, of Florida; sister-in-law, Connie Campbell, of Daggett; several nieces, nephews and neighbors on the hill.

In addition to her parents and late husband, Eddie, Audrey was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard “Dale” Campbell, Deronda Bieri and Edna “Joyce” Jones.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 2 – 3 p.m., at Wilston-Currie Funeral Home, 130 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA 16933. Audrey’s funeral service will immediately follow the viewing hour at 3:00 p.m., and she will be laid to rest with her husband in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, www.wilstoncurriefh.com.
